At 15:13 hours Talleyville was alerted to assist Station 11 (Brandywine Hundred)on a reported high life hazard structure fire. A caller statement advised of a Asphalt tank on fire. 257 and 256 made the response. 118 went on scene requesting the upgrade. 257's ladder pipe was placed in service to help cool the 5 story tall tank. 118 had two lines and one aerial in service and placed the scene under control with units working at 16:46 hours. Talleyville units became available at 17:29 hours. 195 (Hockessin) handled covering station 25 (Talleyville) during the fire.
